turbo challenge and a thought

I think I may post in blogger and here til I decide which one I like *better*. Still navigating around both.

So in our turbo kick/jam classes they’re challenging us. We’re all a bunch of fat slobs - well some of us are, there are quite a few fit and trim chickas - I am not one of them.

So we have to write out 3 goals and each week they’ll give us another challenge. This week’s challenge is fairly simple (or is it?) drink eight 8 oz glasses of water a day.

Do you know how hard this is? *retorical question* I dislike water unless I’m working out (which happens twice a week) it’s just bland. I’m not really a soda pop drinker either, I like coffee and tea. Heidy actually suggested replacing our morning coffee with water *gasp* I’m kidding, I mean she really did say that but I’m getting a headache just thinking about the headache I’d have without my morning joe so I compromised with myself and bought “half-caf”. baby steps.

I’ll *try to* replace my afternoon iced teas with water though. Baby steps.

Each class we attend allows us to put our name in a box, each challenge we attempt gets another name, bring a friend - another name. At the end they’ll draw a name and you win something *don’t know what yet*

I’m excited if only for the accountability of it all. I really would like to be down to my goal weight by the end of May.

19 weeks. 
133 days. 
I can do it.

  1. I used to only drink water when I ran or when I sang. About four years ago, after adding up the calories I was drinking in soda - pop - every day, I started drinking water. At first I could only drink it with lemon or lime in it, but slowly, I began to really like it and besides tea and an occasional glass of wine, it’s really the only thing I drink.

  2. Oh, I’m glad you are posting in both places! I have only drank two cups of water today. It’s now 2. I am just not thirsty! I have a goal set to reach my goal weight in May too. I am holding steady right now. I know I can do it though. Good luck to both of us!

  3. I should drink more water, too. I think it’s nice that turbo kick is doing the goals and prize thing. I also thinks it’s cool that so many people in your area are doing turbo kick now. If I still lived close to you, I’d go with you and Kristen. Oh the fun we’d have!
